Many times we hear people mention about how they get in such a low place in life that it seems so painful; there must not be any way out. I think many of us can relate that we’ve been in a season like that. Whether we were facing a health crisis, walking through a divorce, loss of a child/parent, had to file for bankruptcy. The list could go on and on…

But what I have seen personally is that these are some of the most beautiful times in our lives…when we look at it with the right perspective. See when we get to such a low place; when we crash into the love of God there is nothing more fulfilling, comforting, and just completely life altering! You know how you look around and see that some people just seem so ‘close to God’ or they seem to have so much ‘passion for God’? Most of those people have a STORY… from a low place in life that God met them and they were NEVER THE SAME!

See when life is ‘good’ for you… you don’t have much of a need for the HEALER, the RESTORER, the CHAIN BREAKER… we seem to just keep going on our happy go lucky way without pursing much of God at all. But to people who have seemed to have gone through hell and back; when they experience the HEALER, the RESTORER, the CHAIN BREAKER they get a fire down in them that can’t be put out!

So instead of always looking at the ‘valley season’ as a negative; say thank you for a ‘growing season’ and chase after God with everything inside of you! RUN TOWARD HIM FOR DEAR LIFE!

Psalms 143:9 NLT
Rescue me from my enemies, LORD; I run to you to hide me.

Because He’s right there waiting to be your comfort in your time of need, your Savior when your enemies surround you, and your healer when everything from your mind, will and emotions are broken to pieces!

There is so much more to a relationship with God then many people ever get to encounter. He’s wanting nothing more than for us to WANT HIM!

Scripture says, “7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” James 4:7-8 NLT.

God is waiting for you to make the first move… so ask yourself today WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

God will not force Himself on you, He wants you to desire a relationship with Him! He wants to be where you turn when everything gets dark and your enemies have surrounded you. He wants to be the one you lean on when your sick in your body and you’ve done all you can do. He wants to be the one you call out on when it seems your completely alone and you’ve burned every bridge you’ve ever had. He’s waiting for you!

Isaiah 30:18-19 NLT

Blessings for the Lord’s People
18 So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help.
19 O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem,
you will weep no more.
He will be gracious if you ask for help.
He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.

So, today we have a choice to make 1. Do we continue to curl up in our suffering and do nothing but live in defeat and frustration? or 2. Do we RUN to God and surrender our will, surrender our suffering, surrender our vengeance and let God RESPOND to us!

My prayer is that each of us will always choose to RUN to God in the face of adversity. RUN as fast as we can to Him so that He can take and show us who He is in these types of moments. God’s love is more than we can ever comprehend. He desires us. Chose Him today and I can promise He will show up! He always does when we put Him FIRST!
