Everyone wants to talk about always choosing the right decision… always having the right attitude… responding a certain way… but what about the days that we are just down right having a bad day? Yes, EVERYONE has them. If you are a human being you’ve had a day where it just seemed like nothing went right for you; it seemed like the world itself was coming against you. Which in turn made you have a wrong attitude, respond not like Jesus, or just want to hide under a blanket at home.
These days happen but its what you chose next that determines your future… See it’s ok to have a bad day; but do you let your flesh then in turn have a bad 2 days, a bad week, now a bad month, and a year…. this is what the enemy tends to do to many people. He takes what should only be a bad day and turns it into a way of life that many can’t escape the hole once they fall into it. It’s like a vortex of unhappiness, offense, bitterness, seclusion and it spins and spins until this becomes your normal…
So, lets learn to recognize when we have these days… on days you don’t want to read the Word of God, on days where you don’t want to listen to worship music, on days your not thankful for the things you have, on days you don’t feel like being a nice person. STOP! Take an evaluation of what has happened the last few days and what door ways did you leave open in your life so that the enemy had a crack to come in and cause distraction in your mind & heart.
Ephesians 6 The Whole Armor of God
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
This my friends is how we stand through the bad days. We put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD! This is daily just like you brush your teeth & take a shower! For you to be able to withstand the arrows that the enemy WILL throw your way… you must cover yourself!
- The Belt of Truth (Everything stems from Truth)
- The Breastplate of Righteousness (Cover your heart in purity & Holiness)
- Shoes of Peace (Carry the Gospel to the World)
- Shield of Faith (You have to actually use a shield for it to work & that takes FAITH)
- Helmet of Salvation (Renew your mind daily through the blood of Jesus)
- Sword of the Spirit (The Word of God & knowing what it says)
If you stay covered in these areas AT ALL TIMES… it’s much harder for the enemy to gain access to your mind & your heart! It’s when we forget to put a piece on, or we don’t wear it or use it properly that we give the enemy access.
So, remember today just as you brush your teeth; you begin to place your armor on this morning before you ever leave your house! If you don’t take the time daily to cover yourself with the armor the Lord has given us then we ourselves are choosing to give the enemy access!
Let’s stand COVERED today! #NotMoved #StandFirm #Covered #ArmorofGod
