Do you seem to just get by or not really get by at all when it comes to your finances, your health, your job, your children, your marriage, and your walk with God?
I think we can ALL relate to dealing with this at one point or another. But we can see in many places in the Word of God that He wants us to FLOURISH not just to survive.
Psalm 92:12-15 AMP
12 The righteous will flourish like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful];
They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable].
13 Planted in the house of the Lord,
They will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 [Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age;
They will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment];
15 [They are living memorials] to declare that the Lord is upright and faithful [to His promises];
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
It’s scriptures like these that make us check ourselves to see if we are ‘Flourishing’ as the Word says or are we doing it in our own strength and that is why we are barely making it. Notice in verse 13 it says “They will flourish in the courts of our God”; do you daily live in the courts of the King of Kings? Do you ‘dwell’ with Him at work, at home cleaning, while picking up your kids from school, what about while your trying to work out, or when your stressed out paying bills? God wants us to ‘thrive’, ‘bear fruit’, and ‘prosper’. But yet we let the enemy beat us down so often to where we think ‘Flourishing’ is impossible for us. Maybe its for everyone else but not me…. Wrong the scripture is for everyone, who is willing to apply it to their life!
Psalm 1:1-3 AMP
1 Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night.
3 And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season;
Its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
When we keep our sights on God and not get side tracked by ‘wicked’ people/things; we walk blessed, prosperous, and favored. Which is what it takes to produce lasting fruit that makes us ‘flourish’ through out our lives. When we meditate on the Word of God day and night and night and day; we are like a tree firmly planted by streams of water. We burst forth with fruit in our lives which in return feeds our finances, feeds our children, feeds our marriage, and feeds our journey with God! So, never underestimate the ‘feeding’ of the Word; and what it produces in your life in all areas!
Stand Firm, Thrive, Produce Fruit, Be Blessed, Stay Planted, Keep Flourishing, and most of all DO NOT BE MOVED!
