I’ve been in church my entire life and something that has always been so beautiful to me is watching people go through storms and come out on the other side still standing.

Making that statement seems so simple…yet IT’S NOT. Every single person that walks through a “storm” in life (whether it be a divorce, loss of a child/spouse, health crisis, job loss, the list is endless) has a decision to make. We all consciously or subconsciously make a choice to ‘trust God’ or to ‘get angry with God’.

Every single time we are either activating our FAITH in God or we are activating DOUBT/DISBELIEF in God. The funny thing is… that’s what FAITH is; to trust in God even when you don’t see the end of the story. Faith is such a beautiful decision.

Hebrews 11:1 NLT
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

It’s a decision that we are telling God, “I trust you, because I know you have planned my life before I was even born.” God wants good for you, He created you with a purpose and a future. But so many times we let all the things around us (jobs, status, houses, friends, children, spouse, church, etc.) give us our ‘hope’, ‘purpose’, and our ‘future’. NEWS FLASH you weren’t just created to live the life “you created”, you were created to live the life “God created for you”! That’s where many of us miss it. We create a life we love but when choices get made that are beyond our control and the answer simply is; “Where is God? I thought He loved me. I thought He wanted good for me. I thought He wanted me to have a good future. How could He do this to me?”.

Proverbs 19:21 NLT
You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.

This is when sneaky doubt/disbelief moves in. We have to remember that as long as there is breath in your body; God still has a ‘hope’, ‘purpose’, and a ‘future’ for you to walk out! No matter what crisis is facing you today; God is still using you and writing YOUR STORY! Even the greatest heartbreak still can come out to glorify God IN YOU! It’s if you make the BEAUTIFUL DECISION of activating FAITH even when you don’t understand the ‘WHY’! Trust Him! He knows the end of YOUR STORY so keep going… keep choosing God over yourself & your circumstances!

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
